New year, new school!

Okay, okay... so actually this new school was opened right at the end of 2017, but we still want to celebrate it into the New Year!

With support from the Stichting Groot Haspels Foundation, Projet Jeune Leader officially opened a new Youth Space in the rural community of Mahasoabe. This rural school serves 700 young adolescents, who will now receive PJL's programming!

The community was so excited at the prospect of bringing PJL to their students, they readily offered up an unused school building for our Youth Space.

Although the building was a little beat up, it's foundation was strong, so with a little fixing-up it is now a beautiful (not to mention, huge!) space for Mahasoabe's middle school students.

The Stichting Groot Haspels Foundation has been an amazing supporter of PJL's work after they visited and saw for themselves the impact PJL programming has on young Malagasy adolescents.

We are also very grateful that they supported the printing of our new VINA health and leadership magazines, benefitting 12,500 students in ALL of our partner schools! Students love reading these magazines!
